High-Tension Heart

November 7, 2011

Boy-Oh-Boy. Sometimes they creep up on me. Sneaky lil’ cardiac critters.

And- of course at times the jump up and bite me, figuratively speaking.

This one was brazen and blatant!

Morning News Heart

November 1, 2011

Well, there it was- right on my front stoop!

Squirrel-gnawed Walnut Heart

October 24, 2011

Not a big fan of the squirrel, I’ll admit it. Although they have merit- they make my dog Trudy very excited. And now and then they do nice work like this!

Astroturf Heart

October 17, 2011

There it was, just waiting for me to come across it.

Across the street at my dog Trudy’s best friend Woody’s place.

Heart Bruise

October 10, 2011

Okay- sometimes I’m a bit clumsy, I guess.

But- sometimes there’s a payoff!

It’s all better now, thanks.

Glacier Heart

October 3, 2011

There I was, hiking on Mount Rainier after my niece’s wedding, and there it was!

Sideways, but still. I’m just sayin’

Slice O’ Spud Heart

September 28, 2011

One could imagine that I plan these- spot the potential heart and make them happen. But truly- I don’t! That would make it unfun for me. Like rigging a contest. Or cheating at tiddly-winks. I mean, really. Really? Really!

Shoebox Lid Heart

September 20, 2011

Sometimes it’s all about the angle. Perspective. Turning one’s head sideways like Nipper, the RCA spokesdog. Trudy, my pupster-deluxe, does a great impersonation of Nipper. Especially when I speak to her in the form of a question. She goes nuts watching the contestants answer on Jeopardy!

Earthquake/Hurricane Brick Shard Heart

September 7, 2011

Ok- this is completely random. What are the chances?

As you undoubtedly know, we had a 5.9 magnitude earthquake here in DC late last month. At which point the neighboring chimney pictured below shed some bricks. A number landed in the yard & drive beneath it. If you look closely, some remained on the roof, held back by the gutter.  Until a tropical storm hit, blowing more bricks from the roof. Found a shard. A heart. Who’d a thunk it? Not me!

Pup Rump Heart

August 29, 2011

Well, that’s what it is!  From the hindquarters of Trudy, the best dog. Ever.

She just likes to contribute.  When she’s not vocalizing at passers-by, or going at it with her squeaky toy.
