Twin Tree Stump Heart

April 1, 2012

Kind of like they’re spooning. Or conjoined at the hip. Or something of that nature.

Curiously, they faded within a few days of my discovering them. After the tree had been cut down for many weeks.

I like that.

Upside-Down Tulip Heart

March 25, 2012

In honor of Spring. Which, truth be told, came a bit too early this year.

I don’t mind warm weather, but believe that winter in these parts needs to have a good measure of snow.

On account of all kinds of reasons…

But- here’s the tulip!

Biscuits and Gravy Heart

March 14, 2012

So I know this one is a little weird! It looks a little like a uvula (you know, that strange little thing that hangs down from the roof of your mouth?  For no reason that is apparent to me.

Well this was biscuits and gravy breakfast at Urban Eats, and if I zoomed in on it any more it’d be creepy.

Red Wax Lips Heart

January 21, 2012

It took me a minute to figure this one out. Had to stoop down and dig my fingernail into it to verify.

I didn’t sniff it to see if it still had that fruity-perfumy smell.

That would have been going too far….

Silvery Graffiti Heart

December 30, 2011

I have no idea of what the artist was trying to say, if it is intended to be readable.

And no idea if they wanted to portray a heart.

Just thought it was a cool one.

Tree Paint Heart

December 22, 2011

Love this one. Near Mt. Rainier, the one in Washington, not near Washington.

State, and DC, respectively.

Gingko Leaf Heart

Simple, and to the point, dontchathink?

Blue Paint Heart at Road Cut

December 11, 2011

Driving up towards Mount Rainier (the big one out west, not the little one where I live near DC)

Came across this one- which I happen to like very much!

I hope it pleases you as well.

Bird Business Heart

December 4, 2011

I’ve seen these now and then- this is one of the best I’ve captured- and I mean that in the photographic sense.

Not in the “on my head when I was courting a fair lass in college” sense.

I scrubbed up, we had tea, and that was about all there was to that.
